South Woodford – George Lane
South Woodford benefits from high quality independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also boasts two major supermarkets, Sainsbury and Waitrose, two post offices and an Odeon Cinema.
George Lane, the centre’s main shopping area, is split into two by South Woodford Central Line station with the northern end of George Lane particularly containing an impressive range of shops and businesses while the southern end contain a diverse range of independent shops and businesses. A flyover carries pedestrians and traffic between the east and west sides of George Lane.
The area is much favoured by notable individuals and TV personalities, including Tony Robinson, Sid Owen, Meera Syal and Sanjeev Bhaskar.
